• Within the initiative «Orçamento Participativo on Line» promoted by Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, The CampingCar Portugal, did submit defined proposals for the creation of a parking zone with a Service Area, as support to hundreds of motor-caravans, portuguese and foreign, that annually visit our capital..

• The CampingCar Portugal, sends a letter stating his position about the report «Estudo da dinâmica do Sector do Autocaravanismo na Região do Algarve», issued by CCDR-Algarve. On our letter are presented opinions, arguments and pointed out various solutions, whose absence, will bring serious limits to circulate and permanence of motor-caravans, limiting the visits continuity or region discovery by the travellers, national and foreign, alike. Certain aspects in the report were duly appreciated as positive points, favourable to the activity.

• It is announced, «The Portugal Tradicional», developed through a partnership with ANIMAR- Associação Portuguesa para o Desenvolvimento Local (www.animar.dl.pt). This project follow the inspiring french experiences, namely, the formule «France Passion» and «Bienvenue à la Ferme» but, to implement it, in a more diverse way, that is, the users do not need any previous inscription or payment, and seeks to join motor-caravans users to the genuine spaces of our country, as agricultural farms, wine producers, cattle raise farms, artisans production complexes.

• The CampingCar Portugal was contacted by the daily newspaper «Jornal de Noticias», for a telephone interview, as well as, supply additional information and material for an article, about motor-caravans. Regretable, the article format had already been definid before the contact and therefore all supplied information was not used, which certainly would allow a final result, more profound and useful, dealing with motor-caravan, phenome. The article was published in the issue of 26 of August, of the referred newspaper.

• Following an awareness campaign that had been taken by the Câmara Municipal de Ovar (14.06.08) directed against the motor-caravaners at Furadouro to correct less proper actuations, the CampingCar Portugal, sent a letter to the Presidente da Câmara Municipal, reflecting their concern regarding parks and motor caravans needs, as well as, let them know, their charter and constant efforts to implement open air good practices. It was also, demonstrated by the CCP team, their willingness to support the Câmara in everything necessary, to observe and better conditions for stops and permanence of motor-caravans at Furadouro.

• The CampingCar Portugal unveils at Aldeia da Luz (Mourão-Alqueva), a new Service Area, for motor-caravans. The event was part of celebrations of the VI Encounter of CampingCar Portugal.

• The administration of CampingCar Portugal, decided by the change in the name of the project, which, as of this date, is assumed to be as «O Portal Português de Autocaravanismo».

• Alcácer do Sal County Council, promotes «Alcácer Adventure - Sports and Adventura Fair» and CampingCar Portugal is invited by the organization of this event to make it known, promote and develop policies, towards motor caravan purposes.

• The council of Mafra has created a draft regulation applicable to transit within the municipality. This regulation was subjected to public discussion until April 2nd, provides serious limitations to the presence of Ac's," forbidding stationment, outside camping parks, for more than four hours, on roadways, in public parks and parking zones".

The CampingCar Portugal felt as it was intended to be discriminatory and totalitarian rule to "exterminate" the presence of the motor caravans, in the municipality of Mafra. Therefore, sent a letter to CMMafra, showing displeasure to theirs allegedly arguments, offering, together with the municipality, to colaborate in the definition of a solution, which will serve the itinerant tourist visiting the same municipality.

• Because we believe that the motor caravaning community, can and must develop its activity in total harmony and respect for the environment values, the CampingCar Portugal presents its proposal of "«Environmental Policy» encouraging everyone to an environmental correct procedure. Plus, another Camping Car Portugal document, to be read and shared.

• The Portal CampingCar Portugal, contacted today, the CEPSA Administration, drawing their attention for the unfortunate state in which areas of service for motor caravans in the A2 and A8 are, and proposing technical solutions to the problems found.

Following the "CEPSA Action" we received an understanding letter from this Company, thanking for our technical proposals, which were being examined by the competent departments, for possible implementing. They also, mentioned to have forwarded details of the abnormalities to theirs concessionaries.
The CampingCar Portugal, confirmed afterwards, the referred cases, were mostly resolved, and even existed a general improvement of the conditions of the AS ( taps repaired, garbage buckets installation and the pictogram painting of AC in the pavement).

• Following a report of the television channel SIC, on the motor caravaning in Tavira, the CampingCar Portal, delivered on the date, by hand, to the responsible politicians involved, a document, where misunderstandings were clarified and pointed out possible solutions to the «self-camping».

• The Portal CampingCar Portugal, contacted directly by elements of a City Hall, meet with Councillors and technicians of the Council in order to reach an agreement for implementation of the service area in the zone.
  Was handed a technical paper about it.

• Once the very consciousness that needs to be done with regard to rules of conduct for motor caravans users, Portal CampingCar Portugal, edited on this date, a bookletof disclosure "Learn traveling in a motor caravan" with some behaviour principles that must be respected by everyone. This booklet was placed in service counters of several companies for the sale and rental of motor caravans and is regularly distributed at the events of this Portal.

• The Portal CampingCar Portugal, organizes a trip to the town of Terrugem to mark the entry into operation of an area of service for motor caravans. The launch of the first stone for this structure, occurred in September 2005, when the holding of a meeting promoted by the Portal, happened in Merida, Spain.

• By invitation from an institution linked to regional tourism, the Portal CampingCar Portugal, has made known his vision about the traveling tourism in motor caravans,has submitted a first edition of a technical document, that summarizes the information necessary, to ensure that decision makers, have the correct concept of tourist activities.

• Replying to an invictation of the Plataforma Autocaravanas Autónoma (PACA) and the Federação de Campismo e Montanhismo de Portugal (FCMP) the Portal CampingCar Portugal took the logistics of the organization «Un gesto ecosolidario con Portugal», an initiative of our fellow motor caravanists from Spain. In this symbolic gesture of support, full of meaning, were planted around one hundred and fifty trees, offered by the Junta de Andaluzia, in the hills of São Macário, São Pedro do Sul.
  This event was widely covered by the regions portuguese press and foreign magazines dedicated to motor caravaning.

• At the invictation of the President do Clube Português de Autocaravanas (CPA) a work meeting was held in advance in Serpa, and the Administrators of this Portal were proposed to be part of the list candidate for the
  leadership of the Clube, for the 2006/2007, biennium. As such, they presented guidelines for the promotion and progress of the Clube and themotor caravaning movement in Portugal.
  Surprisingly, however, for unknown reasons until now, a week before the elections, are «invicted» to leave the list.

• Public presentation of the project «Portal CampingCar Portugal» comes to light, at the Campisport.First action for the unfolding of promoting objectives directed to motor caravaning, as a form of itinerant tourism.
